Our first love is reproduction era fabrics, especially those from the Civil War period and the 1930s. We also carry a broad selection of florals. Classes are available from beginner to the more specialized arts. Denice, our owner, has a passion for antique quilts and has created original patterns so that these antiques can be reproduced.
Common Threads Quilting began in October 2002. In January, 2005, we moved to our present building, which was built in 1895 and is located two blocks south of the town square and courthouse. Our present building has 15 foot ceilings and about 4000 square feet of floor space.
Common Threads is located in Waxahachie, Texas, a small town about 25 miles south of Dallas. The address is 315 S. Rogers Street. Rogers Street runs in a north-south (actually northeast-southwest) direction along the west side of the town square and courthouse. Common Threads is two blocks south of the square. From I-35E, take exit 401B and proceed about three miles down Business 287 (also known as Main Street) until you reach the square. Turn right on the near side of the square (Rogers St) and proceed three blocks to Common Threads. From I-45, turn on Hwy 287 and take Bus 287 through town. Turn left on the far side of the square (Rogers St) and proceed three blocks to Common Threads.
